A collaboration between Moreno Valley College, CAL FIRE, and LKQ Pick Your Part is providing Fire Academy cadets with training that strengthens rescue skills used in vehicle extrication scenarios.

For a group of Moreno Valley College MESA scholars, a Saturday at the Disneyland Resort was not a break from their STEM education. It became one of the most immersive extensions of it.

Jorge Zavala grew up in Moreno Valley, but it was on the campus of Moreno Valley College where he began to see the region through the lens of a future policymaker. He now serves as a legislative affairs analyst for the Southern California Association of Governments.
