A sustained commitment to serving student veterans has placed Moreno Valley College among the top-ranked community colleges for military-connected students in the 2025 Military Times “Best for Vets” rankings.

Aliyah Nataly Alatorre, a student aide at Moreno Valley College, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Growing Inland Achievement (GIA) in partnership with the Mexican Consulate and IME Becas.

Community spirit and cultural pride were on full display at the 11th Annual Dolores Huerta and César E. Chávez Scholarship Ceremony. The College honored long-time student advocate Peggie S. Negrete with the 2025 Community Legacy Award, as well as exceptional students with cash scholarships.
