Instructional Program Review (IPR) and the IPR Committee (IPRC) facilitate the ongoing evaluation of effectiveness, goal setting, and improvement of instructional programs through a faculty peer review process. If you are a faculty member charged with preparing an instructional program review report, review information about Three-Year Comprehensive Reports or Annual Updates.

Three-Year Comprehensive

Annual Deadline: October 1

Disciplines and instructional programs are placed on a three-year cycle for comprehensive reports. Comprehensive reports are due each fall at the same time as annual updates. Submitting a comprehensive report takes the place of an annual update for that year.

The IPRC reviews Comprehensive Reports in an open forum each October. Faculty are welcome to attend IPRC meetings for report acceptance

One-Year Annual Update

Annual Deadline: October 1

Annual Updates are due each fall with the Resource Request Form in Nuventive Solutions.

The academic deans review annual updates and provide feedback to faculty within Nuventive.

Comprehensive Reports and Upcoming Cycles

If you are a student, member of the college community, or member of the geographical area surrounding the college, completed instructional program review reports can provide useful information about MVC's instructional disciplines. You are welcome to read any instructional reports that interest you and contact us if you have any questions.

Report Library

The current process for review for three-year comprehensive reports is:

  1. The MVC IPRC reviews the submitted reports in October.
  2. The IPRC convenes for a public review of each document, faculty are welcome to be present.
  3. Revisions requested by the IPRC can be made after the review or the report can be accepted if no revisions are needed.
  4. Accepted reports will be posted to the Instructional Program Review Website.
