- Board Rescinds Vaccine MandateAugust 3, 2022- At its August 2 Board meeting, the Riverside Community College District Board of Trustees rescinded the District's COVID-19 vaccination requirement for students, District personnel, and visitors at District facilities. - Middle College Student Selected as Commencement SpeakerMay 23, 2022- Middle College student, Gianine Ariane Nocum Umali, has been selected as Moreno Valley College's 2022 commencement speaker. It is believed she becomes the first Middle College student to be selected as the College's commencement speaker. - Middle College Student Earns Four-Year Scholarship to California Institute of TechnologyMay 19, 2022- Jude McLean, who will be graduating from the Moreno Valley College Middle College program in June, has been awarded a four-year scholarship to California Institute of Technology (Caltech) through the QuestBridge Scholars Network. - Riverside County Workforce Development Funding Fire, EMT CadetsMay 18, 2022- Riverside County Workforce Development has created a program to fund Public Safety students. Currently, Moreno Valley College is educating 37 fire cadets and 15 EMT cadets that are fully funded by Riverside County Workforce Development at a cost of $125,000. - Students Leaders Travel to Sacramento, WashingtonApril 18, 2022- This month students from the Associated Students of Moreno Valley College, along with Frankie Moore, faculty advisor and professor, attended the FACCC Advocacy & Policy Conference in Sacramento and then the American Student Association of Community in Washington DC. - Amazon Adds College to its Career Choice Program; Workers Can Attend College for FreeMarch 10, 2022- Moreno Valley College was one of 40 higher education institutions added to Amazon's Career Choice program this month.
