Moreno Valley College had two Applied Digital Media students place in the 2024 American Advertising student competition, which is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition with more than 40,000 entries every year in local ad club competitions.

Riverside Community College District marked a momentous occasion on July 27 in celebrating the success of the inaugural cohort of the Californians For All, College Corps Program at the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture.

The Inland Empire/Desert Regional Consortium is hosting the inaugural Role READY Virtual Career Expo on Tuesday, April 25. The free event – from 6 to 7:30 pm – invites current and future career education students to explore potential college pathways and work opportunities.

The USDA awarded a grant to the University of California, Riverside’s Entomology Department for “agriculturally relevant research.” The research involves students from UCR; and Moreno Valley, Norco and Riverside City colleges.

Moreno Valley College’s second annual Pitch Contest attracted 10 contestants. The event coincided with the Business Department’s launch of the Entrepreneurship certificates.

Xandra Vaughn, a foster-youth student and a recent graduate of Moreno Valley College, was selected to participate in the state’s Foster Youth Shadow Day. Vaughn, and 39 other nationally selected foster youth, spent a day shadowing Representative Karen Bass (CA-37) and other representatives.
