Moreno Valley College has launched its first-ever Women's Flag Football team, marking a significant milestone in the college's athletic offerings. Women's Flag Football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, making it the perfect time for MVC to introduce this exciting new program.

During the winter intersession, the team held weekly skills camps open to all students, providing an opportunity to learn about the sport and practice their skills. Students demonstrated their commitment by attending the camps each week, even on the windiest days of the year. Many students have invested in new cleats and adjusted their schedules to be ready to represent MVC in this historic season.

The team is being coached by Pui Lok Choi, associate professor of kinesiology, and Joseph Murray, a laboratory technician in MVC's iMAKE Innovation Center. Tanya Brown, associate professor of kinesiology, serves as the club advisor.

The team has received strong support from the college community and is preparing for its first scrimmage late in the spring semester.

Students interested in participating in the inaugural Women's Flag Football season are encouraged to join open practices this spring on Wednesdays at 1 pm and Fridays at 2:30 pm. For more information, contact the coaches at athletics@mvc.edu
